DRAGON BALL.

I did these Dragon Ball drawings around 1995 for Toukan Mango publishing house. I remember I was required to do urgently some Dragon Ball pin ups, to be honest...they asked me to do them from one day to the next. I didn't know these pin ups were going to be sent to the Bird Studios, who have Dragon Ball's legal rights. Later on, I would get to know through the editor in chief, that Bird Studios, in order to license Dragon Ball, asked the publishing house Toukan to have an artist who could be capable of equaling Akira Toriyama's style. The result: they gave us the license, but only for Dragon Ball coloring books.

Estos dibujos de Dragon Ball, los realicé aproximádamente por 1995 para editorial Toukan Mango. Recuerdo que me fueron solicitadas unos pin ups de manera urgente, para ser francos de un día para otro. Yo no sabía que dichos pin ups iban a ser enviados a Bird Studios, quienes tienen los derechos de Dragon Ball. Después me enteraría por parte del editor que Bird Studios, para dar la licencia de Dragon Ball solicitaba a editorial Toukan que tuviera a un dibujante capaz de igualar el estilo de Akira Toriyama. El resultado: sí dieron la licencia aunque sólo para cuadernos de colorear.
